South East Bird Tours is run from Ashford, Middlesex,
in the South East of England - close to Heathrow Airport.
The primary aim of South East Bird Tours is to help improve
bird identification skills for all levels of birders and thus maximize the enjoyment
of the hobby. We specialize in trips
to the counties of Kent, Surrey, Sussex and the Borough
of Greater London. However, if you have planned a longer trip, we can arrange tours to other areas such as Norfolk, Devon,
Cornwall, Scotland and Wales.
We run a programme of daily bird tours (see tour dates ), which can be adapted to suit your wishes. This can include visiting a site not listed or not shown for that day. The cost of each tour is shown alongside the tours and is per person. This cost includes collection from an agreed location, transport to the reserve, entrance fee where charged, tour of the reserve and transport back to the pick up site.
We can also arrange for specialist individual bird tours. As part of this service, as we are within easy reach of Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stanstead Airports, we will arrange to collect
you from any of those airports. We will build you an individual itinerary to suit the time
you have available, be it a short stopover between flights or an organized
stopover. If you have a single / several target species, we will set the itinerary to give you the best opportunity to view those species.
As part of the specialised bird tour, we can also arrange all transportation to and from your chosen sites. With access to up to date information on local rarities, we can change your itinerary
at short notice to suit your requirements.One source we use for up to date information is Bird
Guides. With the British list currently standing at approximately 570 species,
photographs of many of these species can be viewed at birdguides web site.
